The program will consist of four days with 3 lectures each day interleaved with coffee breaks and lunch. The late-afternoon slot will be dedicated to free-form collaboration, in which students are encouraged to team up and work on research challenges posed and supervised by researchers from the University of Amsterdam. The motivation and goal of these sessions is to get to know students from other universities in a hands-on manner and give the students a chance at rapidly prototyping a novel idea in a motivating environment.
We strive to have a diverse set of students present at the winter school and while we give ELLIS students a preference, it is not a requirement for participation. The fee for participating at the winter school will be 250€ (accomodation is self-organised). The fee can be waived for minorities that require financial assistance (see application form).
