ELISE Wrap Up Conference & ELLIS Community Event
27-28 June 2024 in Helsinki, Finland
Come to beautiful Helsinki to hear about the results of ELISE, which will soon be ending. The ELISE Wrap Up Conference will be a place to meet new friends and collaborators within the European AI community. The event will combine plenary lectures, panels, satellite meetings, as well as several ELLIS Research Program workshops co-located with the conference.

Venue
The Scandic Grand Marina Congress Centre is located in downtown Helsinki, overlooking Helsinki harbour.
A discount code for the Scandic chain of hotels in Helsinki is available to participants of the conference.
Arriving from the airport:
Several taxi companies operate at the airport. The three taxi companies that have an agreement with the airport company Finavia operate from lanes 1-3. The fares for those taxis are indicated on the taxi station. Other taxi companies operate from lane 4. The fixed price from the airport to the city for FixuTaxi and TaksiHelsinki is 35 e (lanes 1 & 2).
If you prefer to use public transport there is a direct train connection to the city centre of Helsinki from the airport. You can take either train P or I. P is 4 minutes faster than I. The end stop for both is the main railway station. You must purchase a ticket for zones ABC to reach the city. It costs 4,10 e and is valid for 90 minutes. The same ticket can be used in all public transport as long as it is valid with no limits to number of transfers.

Agenda
The conference will kick off with a welcome reception on the evening of June 26, 18:00-21:00.
Immediately prior to the welcome reception, we are organising two joint sessions with the 4th VISION Community workshop. These sessions will bring together the European AI/ML Networks of Excellence to discuss progress made on a common Strategic Research Agenda for Europe as well as other collaborative activities within the European AI/ML ecosystem. These hybrid events will involve participants locally in Helsinki and others joining remotely via video teleconferencing.
Note that these sessions are still to be confirmed.
