ELISE supported and organised the Prg.ai Meetup with Murray Campbell on 24 April. Its aims were to strengthen connections and collaborations within the AI community and to help grow the European AI ecosystem over the long-term period. It aimed to help connect AI development with the interests of the local innovation ecosystem, as we expect a wider audience of local entrepreneurs, academics, research professionals, and students.
The keynote presentation by Murray Campbell, IBM’s leading researcher and a key figure behind the Deep Blue chess computer, is related to the research in the ELISE/ELLIS Research Program: Semantic, Symbolic and Interpretable Machine Learning.
The ELLIS summer school on Collaborative and Generative AI (CoGenAI) is co-organised by ELISE and hosted by the ELLIS Unit Helsinki. It will take place at Aalto University in Finland from July 1st to 5th 2024.
Vision and Sports is a special kind of summer school. In addition to a broad-range of lectures on state-of-the-art Computer Vision and Machine Learning techniques, it offers lots of fun with a variety of attractive sports. This offers plenty of opportunity for personal contact between students and teachers.
Come to beautiful Helsinki to hear about the results of ELISE, which will soon be ending. The ELISE Wrap Up Conference will be a place to meet new friends and collaborators within the European AI community. The event will combine plenary lectures, panels, satellite meetings, as well as several ELLIS Research Program workshops co-located with the conference.
