ELISE will join other ICT-48 Networks of Excellence as part of the EU AI Week 2022 to present achievements and works in progress through a series of lectures and panel discussions. Join us on March 18th from 14 CET here.
To build a genuine “AI made in Europe”, ELLIS calls for a multi-centric laboratory with strong institutions in all parts of Europe that will generate real innovation for Europe, best leverage Europe’s cultural diversity, and integrate European values in the development of future technology.
ELISE’s 1st Open Call received close to 400 applications from innovative SMEs and startups seeking the funding of up to 60,000 € to develop AI-based services or applications. The 16 beneficiaries have been selected through a comprehensive evaluation process, representing a wide variety of focus areas. The implementation of the selected projects started on January 1st, 2022 and companies will have seven months to complete their deliverables.
Artificial Intelligence(AI) poses serious R&D and societal challenges, including: (1) How can we quantify knowledge, knowledge aggregation and transfer (education)? (2) How can we build trustworthy and humanistic AI while advancing economic growth and competitiveness? The symposium consists of panel discussion sessions.
